1 a) “Client” means the person who requests Dream Movers PTY LTD to execute the logistics of transporting goods or for the performance of other specified work or services. Through this contract the Client also accepts these terms and conditions on behalf of themselves or any other person or organisations they may be representing or represented by.
1 b) “Contractor” means any person who has appointed Dream Movers PTY LTD as agent to find work on behalf of that person. Through this contract the Contractor also accepts these terms and conditions on behalf of themselves or any other person or organisations they may be representing or represented by.
1 c) “Dream Movers PTY LTD” includes any servants, agents and sub- contractors. In the case of other contracts signed between Dream Movers PTY LTD and a Client includes Contractors introduced to the Client by Dream Movers PTY LTD.
1 d) “Goods” means any goods which the Client has requested to execute the logistics of transporting goods.
1 e) “Person” includes any servant or agent or “Associate” of that person.
2 a) These Conditions of Contract shall apply to all contracts where the Client has requested Dream Movers PTY LTD to execute the logistics of transporting goods or for the performance of other specified work or services. These Conditions also apply to any dealings between Dream Movers PTY LTD and its Contractors as stated in clause 1.
2 b) The Client acknowledges that Dream Movers PTY LTD shall act as agent for every Contractor referred to in these conditions in procuring the Client’s business and that Dream Movers PTY LTD has disclosed that fact to the Client prior to the Client entering into any contract.
2 c) By entering into this contract the Client and the Contractor also accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of all other persons on whose behalf they are acting.
3 a) All moving estimates given over the phone cannot be considered a fixed cost and are a reference only. The minimum fee is not a fixed costing of the move and will be the minimum payment charged to the Client.
3 b) If a fixed quote has been issued by our office we reserve the right to amend this quote if full disclosure of items moved changes after the fixed quote was issued and if there are any access issues that were not fully disclosed at the time of the fixed quote was issued.
3 c) All fixed quotes will be paid in full 48 Hours before commencement of the move.
4 a) The Client guarantees that he is the owner and/or responsible person for the goods and properties described in this contract.
4 b) Goods are accepted by Dream Movers PTY LTD on the condition that they comply with the requirements of any applicable law relating to the nature condition and packaging of the Goods, and without limiting the generality hereof:
i) that the Client notifies Dream Movers PTY LTD whenever there are dangerous goods and guarantees that all requirements of the DGA have been met;
ii) that the goods are fully described in writing on all relevant paperwork, including their name and nature, and in the case of goods to which the DGA applies, are accompanied by a consignment note that complies with the Act.
4 c) The Client must agree to the method, route and time by which the work or services under this contract are performed at the absolute discretion of Dream Movers PTY LTD.
4 d) It is the Client’s responsibility to be present or provide an authorised representative who will be responsible for ensuring that the correct goods are onboard, and the Client shall pay all additional charges whatsoever resulting from the movement of incorrect goods or non movement of goods that the Client intended to have moved.
4 e) In the absence of the Client or an authorised representative at the place for delivery of the goods, Dream Movers PTY LTD shall be entitled at its discretion to leave the Goods at that place or to return at a later time until delivery is effected, storing the Goods at any convenient place, and the Client agrees to pay any additional charges incurred thereby to Dream Movers PTY LTD.
4 f) Arrival time cannot be guaranteed for afternoon bookings. Arrival within 3 hours of the booked start time can be expected for afternoon bookings. No discounts or refunds will be provided due to late arrival.
4 g) We reserve the right to decline to start a removal if the removal site is not compliant with WHS regulations.
4 h) Dream Movers PTY LTD shall have the right to defer or refuse delivery at any time at the Client’s expense should it become apparent that the Client is unwilling or unable to pay any due charges in the required form or at the required place or time.
5 a) Prices are defined on an hourly rate + GST.
5 b) The clock starts accounting for the service from the time the truck arrives at the pickup address until the total offloading at the final destination address.
5 c) There is a minimum charge of 2 hours for all relocations.
5 d) Service is rounded up and charged in 15-minute increments, after the first 2 hours.
5 e) Any tolls or parking fines incurred during the relocation will be charged to the client. Any waste disposal fees incurred during the relocation will be charged to the client.
5 f) There is a compulsory booking payment request for 50% of the min charge of the job in advance in order to complete the booking.
6 a) Any cancellations requested within less than 24 hours notice will incur a 2 hours penalty based upon the hourly rate quoted, that will be charged from the Client’s credit card provided upon booking.
6 b) Any cancellation at a time where our removalists are already in-truck or executing services will immediately incur the minimum charge of 2 hours. This fee will be charged from the Client’s credit card provided upon booking.
6 c) Cancellations are only accepted during office hours.
Monday – Friday: 8am – 6pm
Saturday: 8am – 4pm
7 a) Payment must be made in full immediately upon completion of the services on the day.
7 b) Payment can be taken in the form of cash, credit card or bank transfer.
7 c) Cards (Visa and Master) incur 2 % surcharges, American Express incurs a 3% surcharge.
7 d) It is compulsory for the Client to provide card details at time of booking, therefore the total owing will be debited on completion of the move if no other payment form is made.
8 a) For the Client to be able to lodge a claim with our insurance company, any item damaged during the job must be pointed out to the workers and informed to the office before the end of the service. If damage is not reported prior to the end of the service, Dream Movers PTY LTD will not take any responsibility on any damage claimed.
8 b) The Client or a representative must be present and/or accompanying the workers throughout the entire process, otherwise Dream Movers PTY LTD will not take any responsibility for any damage claimed by the Client.
8 a) It is mandatory that the Client notify our office if any of the following items will require transportation or will be included in the services:
8 b) We reserve the right to refuse to move and/or transport any of the above listed items, as well as any other non-listed oversized, dangerous, excessively heavy, fragile, antique, highly valuable or unordinary items in case Dream Movers PTY LTD was not informed at the time of the booking, or where unforeseen circumstances interfere in safe execution, whether due to the lack of communication, omission of facts, weather conditions or change of plans.
